| About Troop
138

At Troop 138,
we’re serious about Scouting. If you are looking for a Troop
that is:
- committed
to advancement
- using the
Patrol Method
- small enough
in size that everyone counts
- organized
and motivated
- active year-round
- developing
and training its leadership
...then 138
is the Troop for you. You do not have to be a current, or former, Cub Scout to join Boy Scouts. You just need the desire for adventure.
The fact that we have taken first place in the 2006 District Klondike Derby and recently first place in the District First-Aid Meet attests to the quality leadership at Troop 138. Our Scouts are learning important life skills.
We attend Summer
Camp at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation in Ohio, which is nationally
recognized for its Pipestone Honors Program and its
dedicated staff.
Our Scouts plan, organize and manage most of the Troop activities and trips. This gives each Scout responsibilities and opportunities... which is what sets us apart from most area troops.
Activities for 2008 includes:
- horseback riding (October)
- Ski trip (February)
- skeet/shooting (September)
- GPS/Orienteering (November)
- canoeing/fishing (June)
- whitewater rafting/biking (July)
- spring trip (previous trips have included Philadelphia, Michigan, Virginia area)
- monthly cabin or tent camping
Troop 138 has a large assortment of Troop equipment and a large trailer, making trip traveling easier.

We meet regularly
on Wednesdays at 7 to 8:30 pm. You are invited to meet us any time.

Troop Testimonial:
11/1/07
Glenn,
Thank you so much! Please tell the troop that I was so impressed by their interest and their willingness to listen and learn. Your troop is a perfect example of what a boy scout troop should be!
As we enter 2008, look for us for announcements of the building of the education and visitors center! God willing, the earth will move in the Spring.
Take care. Thank you for all you do for these boys! I know they must appreciate such a wonderful leader.
Sincerely,
Lori Arnold
